How the donation works

You submit the instrument the same way as any other evaluation. We assess it, service it, and sell it. The difference is the proceeds: 100% of the final sale price goes to a school music program we're partnered with. We don't retain a margin for the work involved — that's covered by our other sales.

We'll confirm with you once the instrument sells and where the funds went.

What instruments qualify

Any instrument that passes our standard evaluation can be donated. That means it needs to be playable or serviceable to a playable state — we can't put a student in front of an instrument that doesn't work. If the repair cost would exceed the instrument's value, we'll let you know before proceeding.

Student-level instruments — acoustic guitars, beginner drum kits, entry-level keyboards — are particularly valuable for this program. But higher-value instruments are welcome too: the proceeds fund music programs directly.

The commitment

"We retain nothing from donated instrument sales. 100% of proceeds go to school music programs. No administrative fees, no handling charges deducted from the donation."
