Every guitar strap here is handmade in Canada, cut from full-grain leather and saddle-stitched by hand in our Burlington, Ontario workshop by Chili, a working musician. Built around the weight and balance of a real instrument, then shipped across Canada.

Why the leather type matters

Most leather straps on the market are made from split leather or bonded leather, both by-products of the tanning process that are significantly weaker than full-grain hide. They're cheaper to produce, they look similar out of the box, and they crack and delaminate within a few years of regular use.

Full-grain leather is the outer surface of the hide, the strongest, densest layer. It develops a patina over time rather than cracking. A full-grain strap that's cared for will outlast the guitar it's holding. That's the material we use.

This is not a premium upcharge. It's the correct material for something that supports an instrument's full weight every time you play.
